William Badgett Obituary

William “Bill” Moreland Badgett, age 76, of Rockwood went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 22, 2023.  Bill was born in Knoxville on January 5, 1947 to the late William E. Badgett and Sue (nee Moreland) Badgett.  After high school, Bill proudly served in the US Navy for 3 years as an aircraft mechanic where he earned a National Defense Service Medal.  Afterward, he went back home to Knoxville where he was an EMT and truck driver for most of his life.  Bill had a servant’s heart and was well known for helping others.  He had a great love of the Lord and his children, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  Preceded in death by his son, Allen Badgett; brother, Wesley Badgett; and sister, Suzette Badgett.

Daughter               Wanda (Phillip) Ray of Hendersonville, NC

Grandchildren       Keazy Badgett of Idaho

                               Skyler Ray of Hendersonville, NC

                               Phillip M. Ray of Hendersonville, NC

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, July 10, 2023 in the rotunda at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy., Knoxville, TN 37920 with full military honors conducted by the East Tennessee Honor Guard.  Online register book may be signed at www.FrakerFuneralHome.net .  Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of these arrangements.
