Willard Eugene `Gene` Standridge, age 95, of Ten Mile, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 5, 2025. He was born March 14, 1929 in Lawrence County, Alabama.  He has lived most of his life as a resident of Roane County. Gene was a faithful member of Luminary Church in Ten Mile and remained active as long as his health permitted.  Over the years he had served in many positions including Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent, Lay Leader and Delegate. He was also a former Gideon. Gene was owner of Standridge Builders for many years.  He always enjoyed farming and gardening in his spare time. He was also an avid UT Lady Vols fan and loved attending Midway sports athletics.  Preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Gretchen Mae Standridge; son, Johnny Standridge; daughter, Chris Nunan; and mother, Bertha Richardson.

The family will receive friends 1:30 – 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Luminary Church in Ten Mile with funeral service following at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ron Ingram & Pastor David Zavona officiating.
