Viola "Tootsie" Adkins Tate

Viola (Tootsie) Tate, age 71, of Harriman passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born October 28, 1948 in Sunbright and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Tootsie retired from Bellsouth/AT&T after 30 years, working as a Directory Assistance Operator. She was also a member of the Communication Workers of America.  She enjoyed shopping and was also an avid reader.  Preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) & Nola Adkins; sisters, Linda Adkins & Cathy Adkins.

Mrs. Tate will lie in state at Fraker Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  Private funeral service will be held later that evening.  Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Oak Grove Cemetery.  Online register book can be signed at www.FrakerFuneralHome.net.  Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of all the arrangements.
