Susan Lasater Obituary
Susan Kay Lasater, age 73, of Kingston passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at her home. She was born August 7, 1951 in Vernon, Texas to the late Malcolm Neville Owen and Dorothy Helen Perry Owen. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ faith and an exceptional Bible instructor, especially the Book of Acts. Susan was an ideal ministers’ wife, sacrificing her career to be with her husband in the ministry. She had worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years in numerous divisions such as Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, and Oncology. She had worked in a management position for Hospice care in New Mexico. After moving to Tennessee she was employed at Tennova Medical Center in Knoxville. Susan also worked as a Registered Nurse at Park West Medical Center for over 15 years where she received Nurse of The Year Award on two different occasions. She was very passionate about hospice and end of life care. Susan was an avid reader and her faith was of the utmost importance.
