Nickolas Olexa Obituary

Nickolas Alexander Olexa, age 39 of Kingston, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his sister Gina Olexa and maternal grandparents Roscoe and Ann Kimerling. He is survived by his mother Jean Kimerling, his father James (Jamie) Olexa; sisters Desiree (Cameron) Carroll, Milari (DelRey) Romero, Rhiannon (Kyle) Dumas; brothers Ian (Chelsea) Olexa and Micah Olexa; nieces Ameliea and Gwendellyn Olheiser and Sydelle Carroll; nephews Lincoln and Jace Carroll, Aiden Dumas and Easton Olexa.

He is a United States Army veteran with two tours in Iraq - a proud patriot who loved this country with all his heart. His fellow veterans talk about how Nick always had their back and was always there for them in the service and as a civilian.

If you knew Nick, you were better for it. He was an old soul that taught us to be kinder to one another. He loved to cook, tend to his bees, crack jokes, throw darts and shoot pool with his buddies. Metallica was likely playing in the background as he sipped some whiskey. He was the guy who would give you the shirt off his back even if it was the last thing he owned… because YOU needed it more. His lifelong friend Steve said, “If his body was as big as his heart, he would be a monster.”

No visitation or service is planned at this time but a memorial service will be held at a future date to celebrate and honor his life. Nick always enjoyed a good party with family and friends.
