Nancy E. LaCroix, born in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 6, 1949, passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 75. Known for her vibrant spirit, infectious laugh, and love of life, Nancy left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A proud Ford Mustang enthusiast and former prom queen, she embraced every aspect of life with a unique verve and enthusiasm.

 

In 1978, Nancy relocated to Kingston, Tennessee, where she became a cherished member of the community. She attended several colleges, continually seeking new opportunities to learn and grow. Professionally, she excelled at local credit unions, rising to the role of manager through her hard work, dedication, and leadership skills.

 

Nancy had a wide range of passions, including murder mysteries, water skiing as a talented trickster, and mastering the slopes as an expert snow skier. She especially found joy in feeding her sister Suzette’s kitty (MiloBaby) special treats.  She approached each new adventure with the same enthusiasm and skill that defined every area of her life. She was particularly proud of her connection to St. Joseph Indian School, which she loved deeply.

 

She is survived by her devoted sister Suzette LaCroix and her best friend and sister of the heart, Susan Smartt. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Edward LaCroix, and her sisters, MaryJane LaCroix and Sally LaCroix.
