Ida Ellen Humphreys Obituary

Ida Layman Humphreys age 92, of Loudon, TN passed away May 28, 2026, at Sweetwater Hospital.  She was born May 1, 1934, in Sweetwater.  She retired from the sewing industry and was an excellent seamstress. She made the best chocolate gravy.  Her life mission was to share her faith and the love of Christ.  Her passion was Jesus and her family.  She loved everyone she met and was a caregiver to all. No matter who you were she was a mother to everyone.


Preceded in death by her Mother Bessie Knox Layman and Father Bruce Layman Sr. husband, Gwain Humphreys, son, Hoyal Humphreys

The family will receive friends 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Monday, June 1, 2026, at Mt.
