of

Deloris Ann Cunningham

July 22, 1959 - January 26, 2023

Deloris Ann Cunningham affectionately known as Dee, was born in East St. Louis Illinois, at Scotts Air Force base to Willie-Mae and William (Bill) Maxwell (Max) Robinson on July 22nd 1959.

She was the eldest of five children her siblings include; Yvonne, Billy, Kenneth, and Kelvin.

Deloris attended Unity High school and graduated in 1978 and later graduated from Governor State University, earning her bachelor's degree in psychology.

After college, Deloris began her career working for the State of Illinois at Howe Developmental Center, where she met the love of her life, Maurice Lawrence Cunningham Jr. They began dating and went on to marry on September 1, 1984.

Maurice and Deloris welcomed three children together, Michelle, Ashley and Maurice and she became the bonus mom to Maurice’s two adoring children, Mischa and Matthew and later grandsons Jahmir, and Jason.

Working full time, and raising young children, Deloris continued her education by earning her master’s degree in Social Work at Governor State University.

Deloris devoted her life to Christ at an early age and lived her life in a way that was a reflection of his grace.

Once retired, she fulfilled a longtime dream to move closer to her sister in Tennessee, and build her dream home, with a lake view. Deloris enjoyed gardening, entertaining, shopping, crafts, making floral arrangements, cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and home decorating.

She is survived by her loving husband, siblings, children, grandsons, beloved nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law, aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of dear friends and family whom she loved dearly.
