Reva McClure Obituary

Reva McClure, age 77, of Kingston passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at Parkwest Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 14, 1935 in Kingston and has been a lifelong resident of Roane County. Mrs. McClure was a member of Tennessee Baptist Church where she was a Deacons wife for many years, beginning at Mars Hill Baptist Church. She loved gospel singing, reading, shopping, playing yahtzee and spending time with her family and friends. She had worked in the medical field for many years, at Harriman Hospital as a Nurse's Aide, Lakeshore Mental Health Center and The Michael Dunn Center as a Paraprofessional. Before retiring she enjoyed working as a Teacher's Aide at Kingston Elementary School. She had also worked at the Harriman Hosiery Mill. Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd "Ted" McClure, Sr.; son, Floyd "Teddy" McClure, Jr.; parents, John Kenneth & Geneva Louise Abbott Jenkins; great-granddaughter, Courtney Hope McClure. David Coffman of Kingston Daughter-in-law Wanda McClure of Harriman Sisters Loretta Petticord of Kingston Shirley Williams of Sweetwater Brother-in-law Boyd McClure & wife, Myrtle of Lenoir City Grandchildren Tonya Ballew of Knoxville Angel Seau & husband, Shawkey of Clinton Rev. Jamie Coffman & wife, Darlene of Kingston Cindy Lyons of Kingston Jeff McClure & wife, Wanda of Knoxville Matt McClure of Knoxville Kevin McClure of Harriman 8 Great-grandchildren Special Friends Jimmy & Regina Wall of Midtown, Virginia Nell Ivey of Loudon and Louis of Midtown The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Fraker Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm, with Rev. David Coffman & Rev. Gary Brezeale officiating. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday at Tennessee Baptist Cemetery. Online register book can be signed at www.FrakerFuneralHome.net .
