Rachel LeNell Mathews

Rachel LeNell Mathews, age 79, a resident of Kingston passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 9, 1932 in Coal Valley, Alabama. Rachel was a member of Central Baptist Church in Kingston where she had taught Sunday school and was a member of WMU. She was a very dedicated Christian and very strong in her faith. Rachel had worked as a Vista Coordinator at Kingston Elementary School and enjoyed that time of her life very much. She was an avid gardener and treasured each moment spent with her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin & Lovie Gordon Lawrence; sister, Lois Lawrence & brother, Eugene Lawrence. SURVIVORS Loving Husband of 58 years James T. Justin Spurgin & Bro. Lane Parkison officiating. Mrs. Mathews will travel Monday to Waverly, Tennessee for visitation 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at First Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Interment will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday in the Mathews Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
