Brenda Walden Obituary

Brenda (Suzie) Walden, age 53, of Kingston passed away on November 22, 2018 at her home. Suzie was a lifelong Kingston native and an avid Lady Vol fan. She was an outstanding travel ball softball player as a teenager and young adult. She was a former Manger at Rocky Top Markets and deputy clerk in the Roane County General Sessions Court Clerk's Office. Suzie attended Courts of Praise Church in Harriman. A vibrant and outgoing member of the Lakewood Village Community, she was a friend to all and her warm smile and personality drew others to her. She had a soft spot for babies and animals and all who knew her grew to love her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Helen Walden. Surviving Suzie is her constant companion and love of her life, Gunner; her brothers and sister-in-law, Pete and Jean Walden of Harriman and Tom Walden of Great Falls, Montana; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane and David Garrison of Dayton and Terry Johnson of Oak Ridge. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Diane Roberts Sherlin, Michael and Leonard Roberts, Misty Walden and Jordan Walden, Amanda Hayley and Jakob Hayley, Teddy and Sarah Raby, Theo and Nick Raby, Toni and Josh Douglas, Axton and Sawyer Douglas, Breanne and Tony Grubb, McKenzie Walden, Payton Walden, Sydney McCarthy and Jeannie Selvidge; special cousins Kathy Selvidge, Earl Ricker, Robbie Hicks, Joe Paul Hicks and Greg Johnson. Special friends, Jann Underwood and her Lakewood Village Family, Brita Snow, Nell Brown, Joy Selvidge, Linda Applegarth, Rose Carroll, Ann Adcox, Jerry Wells and Peggy Clark. Special thanks to Dr. Rodney McMillin and staff for all their love and care of Suzie over the years. The family will receive friends at Southwest Point Baptist Church in Kingston on Thursday, November 29th from 6-7 pm with a celebration of her life following at 7:00 pm with her nephew, Teddy Raby, and Rev Larry Bolden officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Fraker Funeral Home, 1445 Kingston Highway, Kingston, TN 37763, to assist with funeral expenses. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston in charge of arrangements.
